Dancer Health Program

The Dancer Health Program offers a wide range of specialized care, education, and professional development opportunities for Harvard student dancers. This includes nutrition; mental health; injury prevention; injury assessment and follow-up care; dance medicine education; and mentorship opportunities connecting pre-health students (pre-med, pre-PT, etc.) with professionals in the field. The program also includes physician presence at student group performances held at Harvard Dance Center. The program is in partnership with and led by Dr. Nicole Katz, sports medicine physician at Mass General Brigham/Spaulding Rehabilitation, assisted by Kate LeBuhn ’26, and housed within the OFA Dance Program at Harvard University.

Fall 2026 Offerings:

  • Sun, Sept. 20, 11am-1pm: Dancer Screening with Dr. Katz and friends (Studio 1)
    • Open to all Harvard dancers with separate stations set-up including with a physical therapist, a nutritionist, and physician Dr. Katz.
  • Sun, 10/18, 11am-1pm: Dance Medicine Clinic (Studio 1)
    • Meet and greet and injury assessments with Dr. Katz
