OFA Dance Program

Cultivating curiosity, cultural understanding, and community through dance.

As a vibrant hub for dance activities on campus, the OFA Dance Program celebrates a broad range of dance disciplines and movement frameworks, serving over 1,300 students annually through courses and other events taught by over 40 teaching artists and guests. OFA Dance offers over 30 non-credit community courses throughout the year for all levels and abilities as well as artist residencies, workshops, and events. The program also provides professional development opportunities and resources for student-led dance groups including production workshops and residencies, funding, studio reservations, and mentorship.

Participating in the OFA Dance Program has been one of the most intellectually stimulating and enriching parts of my Harvard experience—complementing and expanding beyond my (curricular) field. I’ve benefited deeply from this inclusive and diverse community.

Student Group Resources

In addition to reserving studio space, student-led dance groups can apply for OFA supported dance residencies in the Dance Center and hold informal showings. Students may join one of the many existing student-led dance groups or start their own. OFA also supports students with funding resources and peer mentors.
