Description

We are seeking dynamic students with exceptional interpersonal skills and a love of the performing arts to join our usher team!  Ushering experience is not necessary, but a background in customer service is helpful. The right candidate is organized, reliable and a team player.

Sanders Theatre is a multi-function performance venue, bringing world-class student, amateur, and professional entertainment to the Cambridge and University communities.

Ushers are responsible for a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to, enforcing basic policies, ensuring the safety and comfort of the audience, ticket-taking, patron seating, program distribution, and some heavy lifting (some stage set-up and strike).

A helpful attitude, good judgement, and presentable attire are required. You must be reliable and on time.

Ushers must report to work in white dress shirt or blouse, black pants/skirt, black dress shoes, no sneakers or jeans.

Shifts are normally 3 to 6 hours and usually begin 1½ hours before show time. You must be available for 4 shifts per month minimum. Most shifts are evenings and weekends. We ask for a three-semester commitment.
