Experimental Photography on Clay - Online Course
Summer 2026 Course
Dates: June 3 – August 5, 2026 (10 classes)
Day/Time: Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8:30 pm via Zoom
Level: Beginner-Advanced
Instructor: Anne Eder
Course Description: Are you someone who enjoys combining art and science? If so, this course may be for you. Photography on clay remains an area of discovery, and in previous sessions, we have explored the complex web of physical and chemical interactions, as well as the intriguing overlaps between organic and inorganic elements in these media. While prior photographic experience is not required, having some knowledge of the medium or a willingness to learn will be beneficial. The materials list can be customized based on your interests, or you can start with a basic kit—see the materials list for details. Join the exciting, collaborative dialogue between photographers and ceramic artists and make new discoveries in real time! The summer session welcomes all skill levels, from beginners to advanced students, allowing everyone to work at their own pace within their area of interest while developing new skills.
Note: this is an online-only course and does not include access to the Ceramics Program facility. Registration will begin Monday, April 27 at 10:00am.
