In this weekend workshop, Adero Willard will demonstrate how she applies colorful, layered patterns on slabs and how to construct a form using decorated slabs. Throughout the workshop, she will share ideas, influences, and advice on developing patterned surfaces, as well as details about slips, underglazes, stencils, and other materials used in her process. Adero will also give a presentation on her work, how she builds meaning in her forms and surfaces, and her community outreach projects. She will guide participants through her approach to clay construction, focusing on the relationship between form and surface. There will also be an opportunity for hands-on experimentation with these techniques.

Cost: Free for Harvard College Undergraduates, $250 for Adult Community and Harvard Graduate students. Registration for this workshop is open now.
