Interim Director, Memorial Hall/Lowell Hall Complex
Ray’s foundational educational experience was at the democratic and experimental public high school, School-Within-a-School in Brookline, Massachusetts. His time there taught him to appreciate both the power and fragility of democracy. He received a BA from Bard College where he studied with A.J Ayer, read the American Pragmatists and wrote his senior thesis on Richard Rorty. He started working at Harvard during summer breaks, doing move-outs and clean-ups and has been at Memorial Hall for 25 years in various capacities. He has a deep attachment to the forests of New England and his dog is a super hero.
