My first big break was as a production artist - and later, art director - on eight seasons of WordGirl, an awesome animated TV show for PBS Kids. Since then, I’ve worked as a freelance art director and production artist, managing creative teams and designing 2D art for animation. This spans concept art, character design, background art, and prop design for tv shows, web series, and mobile apps. My recent clients include Netflix, Disney Jr, Warner Bros, and I art directed Wally’s Opening Day for the Boston Red Sox, which won an Emmy!
Later, I found myself searching for a three-dimensional outlet for my artwork in addition to my 2D digital illustration work. So, I rekindled my childhood love for clay and took classes at Harvard University’s Ceramics Program. The rest is history! Making functional ware decorated with my illustrations is how I spend nearly all my free time these days.
