Claire Morse

Production Technician for College Theater

Claire Morse is a painter, dancer and hand-work enthusiast. In the role of production technician at OFA and Agassiz Theatre, she works with the theater program team to support and guide the extracurricular theater on campus. Morse has been working as production manager at Gloucester Stage Company since 2021. This opportunity was derived from being a part of the 2018 apprentice company at GSC, which not only allowed for professional growth, but it also ignited her interest in building meaningful mentor/mentee relationships as a way to further education and employment. At Mount Holyoke College, she studied technical theater, studio art and social dance, while dipping her toe into many other subjects. Since graduation and the apprenticeship, Morse has worked in corporate and theater technical freelance roles, at ArtBarn Community Theater as a technical director, and with A Christmas Celtic Sojourn as production manager, while supplementing her work with odd jobs such as in robotics and shoe sales, further amassing the ever-growing list of odd skills and experiences she now loves to collect.
