Amanda Aguiar

Before joining the Ceramics Program as a Teaching Assistant and Lab Technician, Amanda began her journey with clay at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts as an undergraduate student studying biology. She began by taking wheel throwing classes and eventually moved towards handbuilding. Amanda makes a mix of functional and non-functional works in reduction, soda, mid-fire, and saggar firings. Her favorite works include sculptural rocks and tiles.
