Alexa Albanese (she/her) is a comedian, writer and actor who has worked in higher education since she was in college. She worked for the Office of Student Activities and Multicultural Programs at her alma mater, Emmanuel College, while earning her B.A. in English: Writing, Editing & Publishing and Theater Arts. She then worked at Boston University Metropolitan College as an Administrative Coordinator for the Student Services office.  

Her stand-up has been featured at Broadway Comedy Club’s Ladies Room Comedy Festival and Cambridge/Somerville’s beloved The Comedy Studio. She opened for Gary Gulman at the Studio prior to his 2021 performance at Carnegie Hall. Her original sketch comedy meets late night variety show, Alexa, Play Something Funny, earned her a spot in ImprovBoston’s Best of Boston Sketch festival, Washington, D.C.’s District Queer Comedy Festival, and The People’s Improv Theater’s Solocom festival.
