Life with Flowers
Life with Flowers
Summer 2026
Dates: June 3 - July 29, 2026 (9 classes with 10 weeks of studio access)
Day/Time: Wednesdays, 10:00am - 1:00pm
Level: Beginner - Advanced
Instructor: Diane Lulek
Explore the intersection of ceramics and the natural world through flower-inspired forms. In this class, students will learn to create slab-built objects such as dishes, bowls, cups, and votive holders, all influenced by floral motifs and organic textures. We will also focus on functional vessels designed for planting and arranging flowers, including vases, tulipieres, planters, and flower frogs. Through demonstrations and guided projects, participants will develop skills in slab construction, surface design, and thoughtful form-making while considering how ceramics interact with living materials.
The registration lottery for in-person summer courses will be open from April 14 at 10:00am through April 17 at 4:00pm. Visit our Registration Policies page for complete dates and instructions on how to register.
