Arts in the Houses Initiatives

smiling student working with clay at a ceramic wheelThe Office for Arts celebrates the 50th anniversary of its founding this year. Since its inception in 1973, the OFA leadership and staff have supported tens of thousands of students engaged in the arts through its programming and funding. In the spirit of that history, the OFA is looking ahead and, in doing so, recommits itself to deepening arts engagement and learning for all students. Harvard’s Houses offer a unique artmaking experiences that support expression and connection among undergraduates.

To mark the 50th, the OFA has launched three pilot programs: the OFA Faculty Deans Arts Fund, OFA House Arts Fund for Students and expanded offering with Visual Arts in the Houses.

The OFA has always had a presence in Harvard's Houses, and we have witnessed the power of the arts to support OFA and College values of creative expression, community, wellness, skill building and inclusivity. We look forward to making art in your House.
