Bio: For the past twelve seasons Susan has spent most of her time performing as an extra player with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She also spends much time performing with the Boston Pops/Pops Esplanade Orchestra as the newly-appointed principal bassist; as well as with the Bach, Beethoven & Brahms Orchestra (formerly the Boston Classical Orchestra); the Boston Ballet Orchestra; and the Boston Lyric Opera among others. She was a fellowship student at the Tanglewood Music Center in 1998 and again by invitation in 1999. She frequently performs chamber music with Radius Ensemble, Chameleon Arts Ensemble, Winsor Music, Trio Nordica, Mistral Music, and other chamber music groups. In recent seasons Susan has been a soloist with the Harvard Summer School Orchestra, Boston Conservatory String Ensemble, the Warren (Ohio) Philharmonic, the Waltham (MA) Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Sharon Community Chamber Orchestra. Susan is in high-demand as a double bass teacher both at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee as well as Berklee College of Music.
