ARTS FIRST Festival Coordinator

Marin Orlosky ’07-‘08 is an event coordinator, entrepreneur, dancer, circus artist, choreographer and teacher. As ARTS FIRST Coordinator, Marin produces the ARTS FIRST Performance Fair and Make Art activity stations, works with producers of all festival events and exhibitions across Harvard’s campus (both students and administrative staff) to coordinate operational logistics and publicity efforts, recruits and trains student staff members and volunteers, and contributes to producing signage, t-shirts and other ARTS FIRST-branded giveaways, print and digital media for the festival.

In addition to working at the OFA, she teaches dance and circus arts at the collegiate level, performs site-specific physical theater in Massachusetts and New York City, and is Assistant Artistic Director of DanceVisions, Inc., a Boston-based contemporary ballet company. Prior to her work as ARTS FIRST Coordinator, she organized events for the OFA Dance Program and was a Marketing and Communications consultant for small businesses and nonprofit organizations. She holds a B.A. in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University, and a Secondary Field in Dramatic Arts. Additionally, she has co-founded eight tech businesses in roles encompassing marketing, operations, product definition, QA strategies and long-range business planning.

Interests: site-specific performances or installations of any art form; contemporary dance, circus arts, and physical theater; the intersection of art and technology; science fiction; and knitting.
