Bio: Decades of experience teaching all levels. Former Flute/piccolo - Franklin Performing Arts Company; former flute instructor at Northeastern University. Principal teachers: Thomas Nyfenger (DMA - Manhattan School of Music); Samuel Baron (MM - Stony Brook University). Recital appearances throughout the U.S. and Europe. Radio broadcasts on Wisconsin Public Radio and WGBH. Recorded on London Records. Primary Goals in Teaching: -To develop musical expressiveness -To improve awareness of tone and to expand tonal color -To demonstrate practice tools that will help make most efficient use of your (usually limited) practice time -To build awareness of fundamentals of harmony and music analysis to help you better understand the “grammar” of music
