Bio:  Dr. Labinska holds a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Violin Performance from Boston University under the tutelage of Prof Yuri Mazurkevich. She holds a BM from University of Toronto studying with Scott St. John and Annalee Patipatanakoon, and MM from Boston University, additional performance/pedagogical studies at Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Dr. Labinska has received numerous awards including David and Marcia Beach Study Award, Nick Gelmych Violin Award (University of Toronto), Honorable Mention at the 2011 Boston University Bach Competition and Felix Galimir Chamber Music Award. She has performed with Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Landmarks Symphony Orchestra, Vermont Symphony, Albany Symphony and Symphony New Hampshire to name a few. Her concert activities have taken her to venues such as Symphony Hall, Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Kennedy Center (DC), Town Hall (NYC), and Stefaniensaal in Graz. She participated in various performances in France, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Poland, Netherlands, and Austria. She has appeared in festivals such as Castleton Festival under the direction of Mastro Lorin Maazel, Toronto Music Festival, International Bach Festival in Toronto, AIMS in Austria, Banff Center Music Festival, Lancut International Music Festival (Poland),Monadnock Music (NH), and  St. Lawrence String Quartet Chamber Music Seminar at Stanford University. She served as the Artist in Residence at the Duxbury Music Festival, MA and teaching assistant at the 2016 Boston University Tanglewood Institute. Her summer teaching activities have taken her to Camp Encore Coda in Maine and Point CounterPoint in Vermont coaching chamber music and private lessons. Dr. Labinska  has performed in masterclasses given by Berlin Philhamonic, Borromeo, Brentano, Emerson, and Orion String Quartet, as well as Lara St. John, Christian Tetzlaff, and Roman Totenberg. She actively participated in workshops given by Emanual Borok, Mihaela Martin ,Erika Raum, and Jacques Israelievitch. Dr. Labinska performed as a soloist with Mooredale Concerto Players, Ostinato Symphony Orchestra in Poland, and South Shore Conservatory Orchestra in Duxbury. Ms. Labinska has previously taught at Longy School of Music, Boston Symphony Youth Orchestra, Concord Academy, Boston University All Campus Ensemble, Brookline Public School, Cambridge Center for Adult Education, and Boston Center for Adult Education. She is on the faculty at South Shore Conservatory of Music, Luzerne Music Center and Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra.
