Course Description: Independent Studio at Home is intended for participants in the Boston area who are not enrolling in Summer 2021 online Ceramics Program course, but would like to access bisque and/or glaze-firing opportunities at the Ceramics Program. This option includes firing and studio glazes for up to 13,340 cubic inches of bisque and/or glaze work for 8 weeks. Cubic inches will be tracked for bisque and glaze firings, and cubic inch totals in excess of 13,340 cubic inches will be billed to you at 3 cents per cubic inch. We are offering electric kiln firing up to cone 6, and cone 10 gas reduction and soda vapor firings. Other firing temperatures can be arranged. A Google Sheets signup form and detailed instructions for scheduling greenware drop off and glaze sessions will be emailed at the start of the semester.
