Bio: Dr. Lucie Zhuxi Wang has been praised by mainstream media internationally, such as China National Radio News, People’s Daily, NBC NEWS Texas, FOX NEWS Ohio, Voyage Magazine,Sinovision New York Lounge. She has appeared as a soloist and orchestral cellist with many prominent symphony orchestras in New York, Paris, Aspen, Quebec, and Beijing. She was recently announced as the First-Prize cellist of 2021's Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition (Winers Concert at Carnegie Hall, NYC), First-Prize cellist of 2020’s Muse International Music Competition, sponsored by Greece’s Ministry of Culture. She also won the First Prize in the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition and was the prize winner of China National Cello Competition. In solo recital and chamber music, Lucie has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, Salle des colonnes and Chapelle de la Trinité Hall in Paris, Salle Françoys-Bernier Hall in Canada, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, and the Century Theater in Beijing. Festival appearances include the Aspen International Music Festival, Fountainebleau International Music Festival, Domaine Forget International Music Festival, and the Beijing International Music Festival. She was the only cellist invited to perform at a cultural symposium at Carnegie Hall during Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong’s 2015 visit to New York. As prodigy, Lucie entered world prestigious Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in Beijing. She received Doctoral of Music Arts diploma in cello performance (D.M.A) at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Her master’s and bachelor’s diploma in cello performance from Manhattan School of Music in New York City. Dr. Lucie was invited as guest artist to gave cello master class and solo recital at Sam Houston State University Music School in 2020. During the 2020 pandemic, Lucie hosts a cloud concert Let's Press "PLAY" With the Power of Love, shared by U.S. and China primary news media. Same year, Zhuxi is invited as teach at German Schloss Academy Music Festival and Euro Arts Academy Music Festival. She is the cello jury of 2020 WorldVision Music Contest Competition. Committed to cello education and sharing her passion for music through technology and social media, she continues to find new ways of reaching cellists and music lovers around the world.
