Deighton Abrams is a ceramic sculptor, educator and the OFA visual arts coordinator for Harvard Houses. He has taught at numerous institutions including the OFA Ceramics Program, Lesley University and MassART. He completed his MFA in Studio Ceramics at Clemson University and his undergraduate studies Magna Cum Laude at Armstrong University in Savannah, Georgia. He is originally from Alaska but has lived across much of the U.S. He has shown artwork nationally and internationally including the ISCAEE member Exhibition in Yixing, China, and ArtFields 2017 in Lake City, South Carolina, where he won a Merit Award for sculpture. He completed artist residencies at the OFA Ceramics Program and STARworks Center for Creative Enterprise in Star, North Carolina. He also conducted a co-lecture, Seeking Ethical Craft, at the 2018 National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
