06:30PM - 09:30PM EDT

Level: Beginner - Intermediate
This workshop meets 6 times: Fridays, 6:30-9:30pm on October 16, 23, 30 and November 6, 13, and 20, 2026.

This six-week workshop uses the potter’s wheel as a tool for making functional objects, as well as introducing ways the wheel can be used to create closed forms and parts that connect. Through demonstrations and hands-on learning, each class will build off each other to gain skills and confidence in clay. Work produced will be bisque and glaze fired. This class comes with 7 day access to the Ceramics Program for the duration of the workshop to allow for “open studio” time.

Advance registration is required. This workshop is free and open to Harvard College Undergraduates.

  • The pace of this course will be intense, so consistent attendance is highly recommended.
  • To give everyone an opportunity to take part, we ask that you do not enroll in both sections of this workshop. We reserve the right to drop those who do.
