Diploma in Ceramics and Painting, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA. BA, Ridgewood College of Art, Ridgewood, NJ in drawing, painting and graphic design. As Director of Operations, Shawn Panepinto led the planning and relocation to the new Studio at 224 Western Avenue in 2013. She oversees the biannual Show and Sales, use of the studio by resident artists, participants of the program, and kiln firings. She works with the Harvard Public and Community Affairs and the Allston Education Portal, as well as community constituents, in collaborative ventures. Prior to this appointment, she held the position of Acting Director from 2010-2013. Prior to that, she was the Ceramics Program Coordinator from 1989 and an instructor since 1978. Her work has been featured in a show at the Fuller Craft Museum (along with her students) that celebrated her 25 years of teaching. Her sculptural and functional work is the direct result of her observations and reactions and typically shows her background in abstract painting, sculpture, and graphic design while revealing her unique sense of humor.
