MFA in ceramics from Rochester Institute of Technology's School for American Crafts. BS from Skidmore College with a major in Studio Art.
Kirsten has also studied at the College of William and Mary, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, She founded The Clay School in Lynn, MA over ten years ago. The Clay School is where she continues her work as a maker, teacher, and entrepreneur. Her work is shown in galleries across the country and many invitational group shows including the Museum of Fine Arts Boston's Art in Bloom show. She creates functional pottery for daily use. Her work is intended to catch the eye through the use of colors and surface patterns inspired by antique American quilts.
