Julian Avery Leonard ’15, a resident of Quincy House concentrating in Visual and Environmental Studies, was awarded a Fellowship to pursue studio work in Scandinavia and study graphic design at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad. Leonard was a member of the Signet Society and The Harvard Advocate art board, and was a co-founder of the Harvard Monday Gallery. In 2011 he also co-founded the Generalist, an artist collective whose work aims to foster an open approach to collaboration across diverse visual, material, and social systems. He also led a team of artists, choreographers, musicians, animators, and theater designers as the creator and director of Comic/Strip, a sculpture work that uses time as both an adhesive and a primary mode of expression. He plans to pursue a career as an artist and designer.
