Geoff Booras assists with ceramics collaborations and materials inquiries and acts as project consultant for the GSD Material Processes and Systems Group. His art practice brings together traditional ways of making with emerging digital fabrication technologies, and his works, which have been shown at Queens Museum, Haw Contemporary and The Museum of Longing and Failure in Germany, incorporate ceramics, photography, sculpture and 3d printed elements. Geoff has been artist-in-resident at Anderson Ranch Art Center, Arctic Circle Residency, Wassaic Project, Banff Art Centre and Rockefeller Foundation Pocantico Residency. In 2017, Geoff was artist-in-residence at the Disease Biophysics Group, under Professor Kit Parker at Harvard's Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He holds an MFA from State University of New York at New Paltz, a BA in Geology from Skidmore College, and was an artist’s apprentice under Toshiko Takaezu. He is currently pursuing a master's degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, studying arts in education.
