Eric Engel is the Director of the Memorial / Lowell Hall Complex (a position he has held since 1994) and a member of the Office for the Arts Senior Management team. He is a professional stage director and theater administrator who has directed for numerous theater companies and universities, including several productions here at Harvard. He served as Artistic Director for the Gloucester Stage Company from 2007-2014 and was the founding Managing Director and resident director for the Nora Theater Company from 1987-1995. He holds an MFA from Brandeis University and has directed numerous Elliot Norton Award winning productions.
Eric oversees the staff of that manages and operates Sanders Theatre, Lowell Hall, Agassiz Theatre and the Harvard Box Office and participates in the planning of many OFA and University special events.
He enjoys going to the theater, traveling and spending time with his husband, Mauro De Oliveira.
