Daniel Rivera '20
Daniel "Danny" Rivera joined the Harvard Dance Center staff during the 2021 Fall Semester. Rivera is responsible for fielding general inquiries through the Dance Center's main email and phone, supporting office operations and archival systems, coordinating studio reservation schedules, liaising with student-led dance groups, and assisting with Dance Center programs, promotional outreach, special projects, and performances. He graduated from Harvard University in May 2020 with an A.B. concentrating in Theater, Dance, and Media. Prior to working at the Dance Center, Rivera worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Theater, Dance, & Media Department for the courses Transformative Design (Fall 2020, taught by Dede Ayite) and Harvard Dance Project (Spring 2021, taught by LROD). In 2019, Rivera was a Production Intern at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, where he developed his practice in theater tech and management.
Outside of his administrative career, Rivera is an experimental and environmental designer, dancer, collaborator, and writer. He was a member of the student-led dance group Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company where he had the opportunity to dance, choreograph, produce, and direct several original works.
