## Guidelines

### Eligibility

- Undergraduates, either individuals or registered student organizations, in good standing with the College.

Partnerships with outside organizations or other entity are possible but the applicant MUST be an undergraduate (individual or group) and the project MUST be led by the undergraduate applicant.

### Funding award amounts

Most funding awards typically fall in the **$100-$500** range.

### **What we ordinarily fund**

On-campus undergraduate art making proposals that miss the initial project grant application deadline, with preference given to those that highlight/include one or more of the following components:

- **Innovation:** Unique projects that are using new materials, techniques, or perspectives. Innovative projects can combine existing elements in new ways by experimenting and taking risks.
- **Civic engagement:** Arts and civic engagement are ways that people use the arts to participate in their communities and address civic issues. This involves participating in community life to address civic issues. Projects can include voting or advocacy, volunteering, and community organizing. This may be a reflection on one's role in the community, considering issues of justice and fairness and beyond.
- **New or Longstanding Partnerships and co-designing a project:** we encourage individual artists or student groups to create new partnerships, or to deepen and improve a long-standing partnership between multiple groups.
- **Projects taking place in the houses** (activating special amenities).

### Other funding resources

We encourage producers to research other available funding resources made available to Harvard Events. The Harvard Undergraduate Association provides a listing of resources on [their website](https://www.thehua.org/funding).
