THE WOVEN ARC, curated by Gallery Director Vera Ingrid Grant, is a special installation of legacy textiles and hats from the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum selected by architect David Adjaye. The exhibition features recent acquisitions to the gallery’s permanent collection and examines the relationship between surface, text, and texture. We present an array of sculptures, paintings, conceptual art pieces, print works, and legacy textiles that create a visual dialogue within the exhibit space. Please join us for our interwoven narratives that weave new stories and spin fresh tales.
THE WOVEN ARC is on view May 20 through July 16, 2016.
