Presented By Ceramics Program
Barringer is interested in the interplay between the form and the surface and ways of thinking about how each influences the other.
During this workshop Barringer will demonstrate her use of hand building processes and slips to keep the form and the surface evolving in tandem. Time permitting, participants will experiment with their work, using an exercise that allows the maker to see various options before committing to a mark, texture, or composition. Participants should bring a sketchbook, one or two leather-hard pieces, and an open mind.
