The Harvard University Studio for Electroacoustic Composition and the Harvard University Department of Music present two nights of HYDRA. Spring HYDRA 2019 will showcase works composed by students of Music 167: Introduction to Electroacoustic Music and Music 179: Improvisation with Live Electronics. Hans Tutschku will premiere a new work for piano and electronics, and a work by Yvette Jackson, who will be joining the Music Department faculty next semester, will also be presented. Clarinetist Rane Moore and percussionist Jeff Means will join HYDRA to premiere student works featuring improvisation and real-time electronics processing. This event is free and open to the public.
