“I’m here to participate, not apologize.”
Women aren’t just the subject of a sentence in SHE. Written, directed, produced, and inspired by women, this immersive and musically ambitious show compiles diverse voices and submissions to explore womanhood in 2016 ⎯ and all the difficulties and double standards that accompany it. SHE is hilarious and fierce, bringing audiences into women’s minds to grapple with relatable challenges that shouldn’t be so familiar. In a world where responses to a survey about women’s experience put “rape” just after “bananas” on a list of pet peeves, SHE fights for acknowledgement and change.
