Friday, April 14, 2017, 4:00pm

Askwith Hall, 13 Appian Way, Cambridge MA 02138

A panel with Sharon Katz (Director of Peace Train Movement, South Africa), Patricia Zarate (Executive Director, Panama Jazz Festival and Danilo Perez Foundation, Panama), and Maria Elena Gratereaux (President of FEDUJAZZ, Dominican Republic).

These musicians and leaders share a rich history utilizing music across the world in order to address educational inequities, child poverty, and intolerance of differences. They dedicated their art to social justice reform and will share their projects in order to engage students and professionals across programs and interests who share a common vision of equity and justice. This multicultural panel will broaden the conversation on diversity through the use of music as an expression of culture and an effective avenue for social justice.

This event is sponsored through the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
