Risa Steinberg will teach a Limón-based modern dance master class at the Harvard Dance Center as part of the Harvard Dance Program's Fall 2015 Master Class Series.

Risa Steinberg
is internationally known as a solo artist, teacher, and director of the works of José Limón. Born in New York, and trained at the High School of Performing Arts and The Juilliard School, she was invited by Limón to join his company, where she danced for 11 years. She has reconstructed Limón works for companies around the world, working with such artists as Rudolph Nureyev, Frank Augustyn, and Karen Kain. She is presently faculty at the Peridance Capezio Center, a guest faculty member of The Juilliard School, and continues to teach extensively throughout the world.

The class is free and open to the dance community. Observers welcome. Participants must be at least 18 years of age or an undergraduate student. 

Participation is first-come, first-served, with priority given to Harvard University Undergraduate Students. 

Due to limited class capacity, online registration is required for both participants & observers.
