There's no better way to finish off the week than by dancing it out in a Harvard Dance Center Cypher! Join us this Friday, Feb. 16, for our second cypher of the semester, joined by musician Ryan Edwards who will be providing live beats!
Harvard Dance Center cyphers are led by Aysha Upchurch AIE'15 in the Harvard Dance Center's spacious Studio 1, and open to anyone wanting to feel the beat and groove in a joyful community environment.
What is a cypher?
A cypher is freestyle dance jam where an open circle is created and people take turns dancing in the center. The cypher (or cipher) has deep, long-standing cultural roots in hip hop culture, African tradition, and even religious beliefs.
Cypher leader Aysha Upchurch AIE'15 will guide you through the experience...the important thing is to let go and have fun!
Cyphers are free!
RSVP on Facebook or on the Dance Registration Page!
