Boston Conservatory at Berklee presents the
Boston Conservatory Orchestra featuring guest artist Mason Bates. Program includes Price, The Oak; Bates, The B-Sides; and Shostakovich, Symphony No. 5.  

The kickoff concert of the 2019–2020 Boston Conservatory Orchestra season features works by the first noted African-American woman composer, Florence Price, as well as one of today’s most popular young composers, Mason Bates, who will join the orchestra live in performance. The concert will conclude with a 20th-century masterwork, Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5
