Josh Levine, RI '19 is an American composer who explores the unity of memory and imagination through ever-changing manifestations of the work’s core materials in a network of processes inspired by movement and the contemplation of change both in the physical world and the psyche. As a Radcliffe fellow, Levine will work on a cycle of interrelated pieces for string quartet and subsets thereof, Again not the same river, investigating interactions between cyclical architectonics and evolving material that reflect the complex juxtaposition in our lives of recurrence and change.
