Lecture by Tania Bruguera RI '17

Tania Bruguera RI’17, performance artist, will speak about her project to develop the Instituto de Artivismo Hanna Arendt (INSTAR), which will become a hub for civic literacy in Cuba. Through her efforts, INSTAR will work with the people who will build democracy in Cuba, thus transforming its audience into active citizens.

Bruguera will also exhibit an artist manifesto delivered to the United Nations in the Radcliffe Institute fellows group exhibition, The Art of Discovery, which opens on September 14, 2016 and runs through October 29, 2016. The opening reception is on Tuesday, September 13 at 4:30 PM
