A teaser for LFP 2018-19!

We're still building the season of guest artists for Learning from Performers, but here's a teaser of confirmed visiting artists. Check back soon for a full lineup for the academic year. 

September 13: Check out ArtsBites, an informal pizza lunch and discussion with visiting artists. First up: Davóne Tines '09 and Michaet Schachter '09, collaborators on The Black Clown at American Repertory Theater. Read more here. Free but RSVP required. 

David Crosby
September 25: Musician and activist David Crosby, of the legendary bands The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash (and Young), will talk about protest music and its history in this collaboration with the Music Department.  

September 26: We worked with the Office of Career Services to bring the Flamin' Hot Cheetos Guy Richard Montañez to tell his story of creativity and

entrepreneurship -- and of dreaming big.  

October 10: Playwright and composer Min Kahng, in conjunction with Houghton Library, will offer a workshop on musical theater and talk about his hit show The Four Immigrants: An American Musical Manga

November 1: Enjoy Mexican food during a screening of Coco and conversation with Academy Award-winning Pixar Animation Studios producer Darla Anderson, with Marcela Davison Aviles ’80 -- a collaboration with the FDR Foundation at Adams House. 

Meklit Hadero
March 28: Singer/songwriter and arts activist Meklit Hadero will talk about her work both onstage and off in a conversation with students and local arts leaders in this partnership visit with the Music Department.
