Course description: Join 2019 - 20 Artist in Residence Ruth Easterbrook for Combined Methods. This course is primarily a studio class structured around student proposals for a current body of work in combination with thematic assignments.  Assignments will highlight and examine advanced process based learning involving surface techniques, altered or complex forms, slip an and glazing techniques. (12 classes/13 weeks)

Course Fees: $125 for Harvard Undergraduate Students, $300 for Harvard Graduate Students, $900 for Adult Community, TAP Regular and Long Service - Follow instructions in online registration system for pricing.

 

Registration will begin Tuesday, November 19th at 11am for Adult Community and Harvard College Undergraduate Students.

Registration will begin Wednesday, November 20th at 11am for Harvard University Graduate Students.

 

  • Adult Community: General Public; Harvard alumni, fellows, Extension School students, and faculty/staff who are not TAP-eligible; students from universities other than Harvard
  • Harvard Employees eligible for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP): TAP regular (employees worked less than 15 years) and TAP long service (employees who worked 15 or more years at Harvard)
  • Harvard College Undergraduate Students: Currently enrolled students at Harvard College. This does not include Harvard Extension School Undergraduate Students
  • Harvard Graduate Students: Currently enrolled students in a Harvard University Graduate Program. This does not include Harvard Extension School Graduate Students or Harvard University Doctoral Candidates.

Your course fee covers use of all clays (terra cotta, stoneware, sculpture body, porcelain and casting slip), bisque firing, glazes, and glaze firing up to 8,000 (13 weeks) cu. inches of kiln space, as well as 7-day access to the ceramics program and its equipment from the start date of your class through May 2nh. You are invited to participate in the Spring Show and Sale from May 7th – 10th!
