Course description: Demonstrations, individual critiques, and lots of hands-on time will engage students in learning the basics of wheel throwing, hand building, and surface decoration. Creative approaches to altered and combined elements will provide challenges for more experienced students. (12 classes/13 weeks) Note: There will be no class on Thursday, November 22nd for the Thanksgiving Break.

Course Fees: $125 for Harvard Undergraduate Students, $275 for Harvard Graduate Students, $900 for Adult Community, TAP Regular and Long Service - Follow instructions in online registration system for pricing.

Your course fee covers use of all clays (terra cotta, stoneware, sculpture body, porcelain), bisque firing, glazes and glaze firing up to 8,000 cu. inches of kiln space as well as 7-day access to the ceramics program and its equipment from the start date of your class to December 1st. Opportunities to exhibit your work or view the work of your fellow studio participants will be available during our Holiday Show and Sale on December 6 – 9th!
