Course description: Harvard undergraduate and graduate students - ready to try your hand at the wheel? Explore the basics of wheel throwing in this fun and casual class. The instructor guides you through a variety of forms to then decorate and glaze as well as introducing you to the studio. A great way for Harvard students to take a break and explore your creative side in this fun introduction to clay! (10 classes/11 weeks)
Course Fees: $105 for Harvard Undergraduate Students, $230 for Harvard Graduate Students.
Your course fee covers use of all clays (terra cotta, stoneware, sculpture body, porcelain), bisque firing, glazes and glaze firing up to 6,800 cu. inches of kiln space as well as 7-day access to the ceramics program and its equipment from the start date of your class to May 4th. Opportunities to exhibit your work or view the work of your fellow studio participants will be available during our Spring Show and Sale beginning May 8th.
