Course description: Harvard College undergraduate and Harvard graduate students - ready to try your hand at the wheel? Explore the basics of wheel throwing in this fun and casual class. The instructor guides you through a variety of forms to then decorate and glaze as well as introducing you to the studio. A great way for Harvard students to take a break and explore your creative side in this fun introduction to clay! (12 classes/13 weeks)
Course Fees: $125 for Harvard College Undergraduate Students, $300 for Harvard Graduate Students
- Harvard College Undergraduate Students: Currently enrolled students at Harvard College. This does not include Harvard Extension School Undergraduate Students
- Harvard Graduate Students: Currently enrolled students in a Harvard University Graduate Program. This does not include Harvard Extension School Graduate Students or Harvard University Doctoral Candidates.
Your course fee covers use of all clays (terra cotta, stoneware, sculpture body, porcelain and casting slip), bisque firing, glazes, and glaze firing up to 8,000 (13 weeks) cu. inches of kiln space, as well as 7-day access to the ceramics program and its equipment from the start date of your class through May 2nh. You are invited to participate in the Spring Show and Sale from May 7th – 10th!
Registration for Harvard College Undergraduate Students will begin Tuesday, November 19 at 11am.
Registration for Harvard Graduate Students will begin Wednesday, November 20th at 11am.
