The day will begin with a lecture on his 30-year trajectory as a ceramic artist, including the "social economy projects" carried out through his workshop. These projects bring the community together in order to promote the study and practice of the field in Etla, a small village in Oaxaca, Mexico.  He will then go on to demonstrate techniques used in constructing his ceramic sculptures and architectural murals while addressing the qualities of the clay, firing techniques and kilns used at his studio in Oaxaca.

The Harvard Student Art Show is an independent student-run event held
each spring, which displays and sells the artwork of students from Harvard College and the Harvard graduate schools. As we are looking to recruit students with diverse interests and concentrations to organize and execute this event, many positions do not require previous art or art historical knowledge.
