Harvard student actors, affiliates and the public are invited to engage with industry professionals Kaitlin Hopkins and Paige Price in a daylong residency on Nov. 30 which includes a master class with 10 musical theater students, a primer on wellness practices and a Q&A on the “Biz of the Biz.” Accompaniment by Liz Kantor ‘18. Workshop Description: Bryan Czibesz, Assistant Professor of Ceramics at SUNY New Paltz, will lead a hands-on workshop and “build-out” on Ceramic 3D Printing for Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and MIT students at the Ceramics Program. A 3D printer will be constructed during his visit that can be accessed by students after the workshop for research purposes. New York-based writer, performer, and choreographer Okwui Okpokwasili will teach a master class titled Embodied Practice: How does the body make a narrative? How does one build a movement vocabulary around the psychic condition of a character? Soprano Sherezade Panthaki’s international success has been fueled by superbly honed musicianship; “shimmering sensitivity” (Cleveland Plain Dealer), “astonishing coloratura with radiant top notes” (Calgary Herald); a vocal color “combining brilliance with a dark, plumlike tone” (The Wall Street Journal); and passionately informed interpretations “mining deep emotion from the subtle shaping of the lines” (The New York Times).
