Harvard Dance Center Internship – 2019-20 Academic Year


JOB TITLE: Harvard Dance Center Class Check-In Assistant
REPORTS TO: Program Assistant for Dance and Administrative Manager for Dance

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Non-credit class check-in and support:
  • check in students using ASAP Connected registration system
  • process drop-in payments at the door
  • solve customer service issues and work with Dance Center staff to address follow up
  • provide on-site support for non-credit class instructors and accompanists

REQUIRED HOURS: Evening/weekend hours for non-credit class support are Monday-Friday 5:30pm-9pm, and Saturdays from 9:30am-2:30pm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • interest in the performing arts and/or arts administration and its related fields
  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and customer service with wide range of constituencies -strong verbal and written communication skills
  • high attention to detail -reliable, flexible, outgoing, patient, enthusiastic, and ready to solve problems
  • ability to take initiative and work independently

COMPENSATION: $10/hour and discounts on Dance Center non-credit classes.

Harvard Dance Center Promotional Team – 2019-20 Academic Year

JOB TITLE:  Harvard Dance Center Promotional Team Member
REPORTS TO: Program Assistant for Dance

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Publicity outreach:

  • postering for Dance Program classes, master classes, and performances in accordance with locations and schedule determined by Program Assistant
  • flyering across campus for various Dance Program classes and events -email “pub-ing” for performances
  • assisting with publicity displays for Dance Center internal and external spaces

REQUIRED HOURS: Candidates with Monday and Thursday morning availability are preferred, but alternate hours can be accommodated. Please indicate when you are on campus and available to begin.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • interest in the performing arts and/or arts administration and its related fields
  • reliable, flexible, outgoing, patient, enthusiastic, professional
  • ability to take initiative and work independently


COMPENSATION:
Free registration for Dance Center spring term non-credit classes.
1 free class registration=publicity help for 6 weeks during the term (twice a week).
2 free class registrations=publicity help for 8 weeks during the term (twice a week).
