Participate in ARTS FIRST 2021: The Virtual World Tour
Harvard’s annual ARTS FIRST Festival is one of the largest collegiate arts festivals in the country. In 2021, ARTS FIRST gets even bigger as it goes completely virtual. Students, faculty, staff, and alums can make art and submit art from anywhere around the world, and have it showcased during the festival April 19-30, 2021. All Harvard-affiliated artists are invited to participate, at all levels, in all arts, in all class years, in every department, from your back yard, dorm room, kitchen table, home office or studio.
Options for participation as an artist (both solo artists and arts groups):
- Submit a new work to the ARTS FIRST Virtual Performance Fair. This year's Performance Fair welcomes worldwide audiences into meaningful spaces on campus and around the globe. Share your artistry through a pre-recorded video performance in a special-to-you location.
- Celebrate the art you've already made this year by submitting your past online performance footage to our highlight reel. Email ARTS FIRST Coordinator Marin Orlosky for details.
- Have another idea that is innovative and in the spirit of ARTS FIRST? We want to know about it! Email ARTS FIRST Coordinator Marin Orlosky with your proposal.
Options for participation as an audience member:
Check the ARTS FIRST website in early 2021 for updates on live virtual events, Make Art at Home workshops, online exhibitions and showcases! Every event is free. All are welcome!
Funding for your ARTS FIRST project is available through the OFA's Project Grant Program. The OFA is currently accepting project grant applications on a rolling basis.
