Don Braden Photo by Steve SussmanHarvard Jazz Bands, led by saxophonist Yosvany Terry and trumpet player Mark Olson, will present the annual jazz concert May 3 on the Science Center Plaza during Harvard's ARTS FIRST Festival (May 2-5). Saxophonist and composer Don Braden '85, lauded by the New York Times as "brilliant and assured," will be the guest artist. 

Braden has performed as a leader or as a sideman in a vast array of venues such as Carnegie Hall (Carnegie Hall Jazz Orchestra, McDonald's All American High School Band), Lincoln Center (Illinios Jacqueet Big Band, 1993 Battle Royale, Mos Def), Symphoy Hall in Boston (Wynton Marsalis) among many others. Club appearances include performances in New York's Village Vanguard, Blue Note, Sweet Basil (Sweet Rhythm), Birdland, and others in the Americas, Europe, Japan, Russia and Australia. Braden has also been a featured artist at many universities, such as Harvard, Duke, University of Southern Florida, University of Louisville, Princeton, North Netherlands Conservatoire, William Paterson University, Cuyahoga Community College, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and Wellesley College.

The May 3 concert is free and open to the public, and all ages are welcome.
