Bio: Performed as solo and chamber recitalist in this country and abroad, and as soloist with five different symphony orchestras. Semifinalist in the Ima Hogg National Young Artists Auditions in Houston, Texas, and winner of awards from the Boulder (Colorado) Philharmonic Society and the Central City (Colorado) Opera House Association, she studied piano with Leonard Shure, Edward Kilenyi, and Karl Engel. Beers taught piano at the Longy School of Music (now part of Bard College) for twenty-five years, and now teaches at Rivers School Conservatory, Cambridge Music Consortium and in a private studio in Lexington.
