Bio

Boyko Dossev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. He studied at The National Ballet School under Bisser Deyanov. He went on to complete his Bachelor's Degree in Ballet and his Master's Degree in Choreography at The National Conservatory "Professor Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2016 Dossev also received his Master’s Degree of Science in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Dossev previously danced with Jeune Ballet de France as well as Hamburg Ballet, under the direction of John Neumeier, Dresden State Ballet-Semperoper Dresden, and Boston Ballet. Dossev's repertoire includes the works of John Cranko, John Neumeier, Jiri Kylian, August Bournonville, George Balanchine, and Oleg Vinogradov among others. He has trained with renowned teachers including Irina Jacobson, Irina Kolpakova, Vladilen Semenov, and Lloyd Riggins. Dossev has also choreographed extensively. He has created works for Semperoper Dresden, Hamburg Ballet, Festival Ballet Providence, Boston Ballet, Boston Ballet School and Harvard Ballet Company. As a teacher, Dossev has taught at Boston Ballet School, University of Maryland, and in Toulouse, France. He received gold medals from The National Ballet Competition in 1997 and Varna International Ballet Competition in 2002. He has also appeared in numerous gala performances including "The Mega Gala Meeting of The Generations" for Varna International Ballet Competition in 2008.
