JOB TITLE: Summer 2017 Office Assistant at the Office for the Arts
A summer student office assistant position is available at the Office for the Arts (OFA), 74 Mt. Auburn Street. The position will provide general administrative support. Responsibilities include: program support, preparing mailings, covering front desk, answering phone, data input and other duties as required. Summer position could possibly lead to a position for the 2017-18 academic year.
Job begins May 29, 2017 ending on August 11, 2017. Hourly Rate is $12.00. 6-8 hours per week.
Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Filemaker Pro. Meticulous approach to work, eye for detail, and ability to work independently. Interest in arts helpful, but not required. Comfortable interacting with the public. Flexible schedule during week helpful, start and end dates negotiable.

Sanders Theatre is a multi-function performance venue, bringing world-class student, amateur, and professional entertainment to the Cambridge and University communities.
Sanders Theatre ushers are responsible for a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to, enforcing basic policies, ensuring the safety and comfort of the audience, ticket-taking, patron seating, program distribution, and some heavy lifting (some stage set-up and strike).
A helpful attitude, good judgment, and presentable attire are required. You must be reliable and on time.
Ushers must report to work in white dress shirt, black pants/skirt, black shoes, no sneakers or jeans. Shifts are normally 3 to 6 hours and usually begin 1½ hours before show time. You must be available for 5 shifts per month minimum. Most shifts are evenings and weekends.
